I almost never share personal stories on my blog; I really want it to be a place to support my Stampin' Up! business. But yesterday was too perfect a day not to share! Tuesdays are my day off, and I get the absolute privilege of watching my 16-month-old grandson, Liam, at my home.
Yesterday, we did something I haven't done in over 15 years--we raked up a huge pile of leaves and played! Now, that is food for the soul!
The Heartfelt Stampers Team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators had its October retreat and I just had to share some of the pictures from the event. We began Friday afternoon, October 23rd, at this beautiful lodge on Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.
The lodge slept up to 45 people on the second floor, with tons of bathrooms everywhere! The main floor was divided between a huge restaurant-style kitchen and nice, large meeting space with lots of tables. This was our view for the entire weekend:
Aly Schilling, our Team Executive, had prepared wonderful projects that lasted all through the weekend. Some of us even chose to stay up stamping until 4AM!! We had a ball! Here I am along with several team members working on a beautiful Christmas banner, all cut from the Big Shot die cutting machine.
We took this opportunity to take a new group photo, since there were quite a few team members there.

DO I HAVE TO HOST A WORKSHOP IN MY HOME? NO! You are
under no obligation to host a workshop. But you are certainly welcome
to. And those who choose an in-home workshop will add to their
workshop total and thus to their benefits.
BUT IF I DON'T HOST A
WORKSHOP, HOW DO I EARN BENEFITS? Since there are 10 members in the
club each pledging to spend $15, you are guaranteed $150, the minimum
order amount needed to earn free stamp sets and products from Stampin'
Up! And since members quite often spend more than the minimum, your
monthly totals can increase, giving you more benefits. In addition,
even if you're not hosting an in-home workshop, you can ask family and
friends to place an order on your month, increasing your sales even
more.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? Call me or e-mail me
with a Stampin' Up! order totaling $15 in Stampin' Up! products (before tax and shipping) before the 20th of each month and pay for your order by check, cash or credit card.
HOW DOES IT WORK? There are 10 people in the
club and the club will last for 10 months. Since there are 10 people
spending at least $15, every club order is guaranteed to total $150 --
the minimum order amount needed to earn free stamp sets and products
from Stampin' Up! Since there are 10 people and 10 months, this allows
each of the club members to take a turn picking out free product.
I
LIVE OUT OF THE AREA - CAN I STILL BE IN THE CLUB? Absolutely!! You
will just be charged an additional $3 per month to help with the extra
shipping costs.
WHAT ARE SOME OTHER CLUB BENEFITS? As if FREE

Here are three of the projects we made yesterday at our November Stamp Camp.
For this card, we used the beautiful cardinal image from A Cardinal Christmas.
Next is a Thanksgiving card using the Big Shot Leaves die and Autumn Vine Designer Paper. Rather than having 3 heavy chipboard pieces on the card, we backed the DP with cardboard cut from the same die.
This one is using Punch Pals and the cute Little Felt Flurries found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I just love using these beautiful accents!

Thought you might like to see some of the cards we made at Stamp Camp last night.
The first one is a tri-fold Christmas card using Lovely as a Tree, stamped in Craft Always Artichoke, then embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The ovals are cut out of the front of the card with the oval Coluzzle which makes it so easy to layer! The small flower is stamped with Encore gold ink to match the gold card stock that borders the tree. "Peace" is cut from the Big Shot and the Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Die.
Next is a card using Upsy Daisy with Bashful Blue, Lavender Lace and Old Olive. You can't see it very well, but the flowers are also stamped in VersaMark at the bottom behind "Celebrate", which comes from Wonderful Words stamp set.
Next is a card using Flower Fancy stamp set, with Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Old Olive card stocks and inks. We used a ruler and the Bone Folder to score at even 1/2" increments, then stamped Canvas background stamp with Really Rust ink very lightly onto the background, then sponged with More Mustard ink. Silver Beads were added to the centers of the flowers using Crystal Effects and the Silver HodgePodge piece holds the word "Thanks" from the stamp set Thank You Kindly, then attached with a piece of Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.

DETAILS: Join other stampers from all around Central New York as we
put on the holiday music, bring out the Christmas cookies and capture
the spirit of the Season as we stamp the day away! You'll go home with
all sorts of completed projects including: Christmas ornaments,
holiday home decor, Christmas cards and more! Keep your handmade items
for yourself, or give them away as Christmas gifts to someone special.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: All registration forms and payments MUST be received by November 8thin order to attend!
Because of the large quantity of products that have to be ordered and
prepared, no exceptions to this deadline will be able to be made.
However, while the registration deadline is November 8th, our space is
limited to 70 participants. With 10 Demonstrators working this event,
we're likely to hit that number quickly! If we reach 70 before November
8th, then registration will CLOSE before the November 8th deadline.
Registration is 1st come, 1st served, so to ensure that you receive a

EVENT
FEE: The cost of this event is $49 and is non-refundable after
November 8th. After that date, should you be unable to attend, you can
pass your spot onto a friend or receive all of the project supplies to
use on your own.
THE
EVENT INCLUDES: There are ten demonstrators working to make this event
a success, so you're sure to have plenty of guidance and instruction as
you complete your projects. Your registration fee also includes
Christmas cookies, hot apple cider and hot chocolate served throughout
the day, as well as a catered lunch from Panera Bread.
Also, all of
the Stampin' Up! products featured here will be given to you the day
of the event. You'll use some of these items to complete your projects
during the event, and whatever is left over at the end of the day is
yours to take home.
The
total value of products is $34.11, and it's a wonderful way to get a
sampling of these products--if you had to purchase the full-sized
package of each of these items, the cost would be $71.04.
In
addition to the products outlined above, you'll also receive all of the
other supplies that are needed to complete your projects, such as card
stock, ribbons and brads. You'll also have the use of our punches,
stamp sets and ink pads. This is a terrific way to make a variety of
Christmas projects at very little cost to you!

note: You will need to bring your own Stampin' Up! SNAIL Adhesive. If
you do not have any, you can order one on your registration form and
we'll have it for you the day of the event.
